Situation
A significant part of this project was to guide users on navigating new Workday system updates and changes, particularly those impacting the compensation process for people managers.
Task
The HRIT team conducted the onscreen activity demo. We couldn’t record directly using Camtasia due to limited sandbox access, so we recorded via Microsoft Teams and did post-production work in Camtasia. Damon Patterson provided the audio narration.
Action
We recorded the videos using Microsoft Teams, then edited them in Camtasia with added callouts.
Captions and translations to Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, and Portuguese were included.
The videos were placed in the “Workday Guide” section in Articulate Rise.
Results
These additions enhanced the overall course experience.

Merit Tab
The next video will be focusing on planning salary increases. It will cover eligibility, merit, merit guidance, and common questions regarding base pay increases.
Promotion Tab
The video will cover how to plan promotional increases, identify errors that may happen and how to resolve them. You'll also learn how the Workday system auto calculates Promotion Increase % or the Promotion Increase Amount fields and the Promotion Pool.
Bonus Tab
The video will cover Bonus Guidance, entering the Planned Bonus % or the Planned Bonus Amount while considering employees' performance and contribution levels.
Stock Tab
The video will cover how to plan Stock for Director level and above. You'll also see how managers are able to submit the compensation planning for Directors to make changes if needed. Directors will learn how to plan Stock for their Sub Orgs.
